I knew Phil from the late 70's early 80's when he would come into my shop in Tustin California for guitar work. He was a regular at Calvary Chapel, Chuck Smiths Ministry in Costa Mesa. He was an awesome player then and still is, lost some of his hair over the years, but still a great and humble person. Thanks for posting some of his video links....

Anyone heard the album "Invention?" It was released in the mid to late 90's, and is a collaboration by Phil Keaggy, Wes King, and Scott Dente; fabulous guitar work by all.... most of the songs are instrumental, but the ones that have vocals are great, too. In recording the album they had a whole studio full of priceless vintage guitars including a 12-string Rickenbacker that had been used by Strawberry Alarm Clock--somewhere I have the full CCM magazine review of the album packed away.... It makes fairly regular rounds through my CD player.
"Once I've held and played the best, baby, I won't settle for less!"
