Actually I think the white 4001 belonged to Alex.

Mike, as mentioned earlier Geddy doesn't have everything in storage. Not only has he given a number of things to their photographer but "other" people associated with them have received instruments.

In fact, Geddy's 3001 ended up on eBay a couple of years ago... He had given it to someone, I think it was Howard U. who then listed it on eBay (without referencing Geddy). I also know that Alex has given one of his PRS guitars to Bill Bell, who played on his solo Victor release. And a friend of mine was given one of Neil's drum shells.

So there are definitely previously-owned-by-Rush instruments "out there"!

He had sold/given away his Taurus pedals (after sampling them.) In a new interview in the latest (and final) issue of Bass Guitar he talks about how their new producer Nick Raskulinecz was a huge fan of Taurus pedals and coaxed Geddy to the point where he actually had to go back and re-acquire them from the people he gave them to, for use on the new album. Geddy said he ended up using them on all but two songs, and they're especially apparent on "Armor and Sword" and "Good News First".

First Taurus... then Rickenbacker.
C'mon Nick. If you get to produce their next record. Convince Ged that it's worth a try. LOL!!!
