Oh, sorry, Elys. What I meant was, I would probably only repair the bare minimum to bring it to playability, just to hear it. I actually like the Willie Nelson look on this one!

A forum member who showed some interest Emailed me in regards to this J-45, here's what I said to that person: A new spruce top, repair all cracks, rebind body and sound hole to original specs, reset bridge, plane and level fingerboard, reset neck, refret, and total refinish with N.C.lacquer.. Mucho Dinero.. As you can tell this guitar needs more than a lot of work. While it may not be cost effective to do this much work to a guitar thinking one could make a profit from it, may stand is preservation and restoration. I have been doing this kind of work for years in order to save instruments from the scrap pile or parts bin. Call it a labor of love or whatever, I just enjoy doing these guitars justice in bringing them back to life. I would not recommend making a wall hanger from this bit of history unless I were a family member.
