Post by doctorwho »

THE ITEM YOU ARE BIDDING IS WHAT I WAS TOLD TO BE A VERY RARE VINTAGE RICKENBACKER EXPORT BASS GUITAR.I BOUGHT THIS GUITAR ON EBAY QUIT SOME TIME AGO AND PAID GOOD MONEY FOR IT IT CAME FROM THE UK.I NO MOST RICKS ARE NECK THRU BUT THEY DID MAKE SOME BOLT ONS FOR EXPORT AND I WAS TOLD THATS WHAT THIS IS I'M NOT 100% ON THAT BUT THE GUY WHO TOLD ME REALLY KNOWS HIS STUFF.HE ALSO SAID HE BELIEVES IT TO BE FROM THE 60'S OR EARLY 70'S HE SAID HE CAN TELL THAT BY THE PICKUP.I'M CONFIDENT IN WHAT HE SAYS BUT NOT 100% SURE ON ANYTHING SO MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR BIDDING ON AND BID ACCORDINGLY ALL SALES ARE FINAL.AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICKS THERES STICKERS AND GRAFITTI ALL OVER IT BUT IN MY OPINION IT ADDS CHARACTER YOU CAN TELL THIS THINGS BEEN ALL OVER THE PLACE.BUT IF YOU DO CHOOSE TO CLEAN IT UP IT SHOULD CLEAN UP O.K.THE BASS PLAYS GREAT JUST AS GOOD AS THE NECKTHRU MODELS IN MY OPINION AND THE SOUND YOU GET FROM THE PICKUP IS AWESOME ITS HARD TO FIND ONE THAT SOUNDS AS GOOD AS THIS.IT NEEDS A NECK PICKUP BUT IT SOUNDS GREAT THE WAY IT IS.IT ALSO NEEDS 1 TUNER.IT HAS ITS SHARE OF BUMPS AND BRUISES BUT NOTHING THAT EFFECTS THE PLAYABILITY OR SOUND AT ALL.AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICS ITS A MULTI PLY BODY THAT PRODUCES GREAT SUSTAIN.THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION SO BID EARLY ON THIS ONE AND SAVE IT IN YOUR EBAY I'M SURE THESE DON'T COME UP FOR AUCTION VERY OFTEN.BUYER TO PAY $45.00 SHIPPING AND HANDLING IF THE BIDDING GOES OVER $900 SHIPPING IS FREE.GOOD LUCK BIDDING!!!

In a way, I feel sorry for the guy, who was obviously duped by an unscrupulous (and unknowing) person.

Wishful thinker; ignorant salesman though.

And I wish he wouldn't SHOUT...I get headaches...

Pathetic.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

HAHA! Notice right by the neck-plate . . . "Mosh for Jesus!" Having been moshing before, it was certainly the closest I've ever been to asking for forgiveness before my face gets kicked in by the metalhead with a beer and tank top . . .

That's a Hondo. Korean-made plywood trash, the worst of the worst of the worst of all the copies. Even I wouldn't give one houseroom, and that's saying something.

Hard to believe (I don't, as it happens) that the seller genuinely thinks it's an "export bolt-neck" Rick.

How about letting a poor, humble old man with a passion for old tired beat up gently used guitars, take ol' betsy there off your hands for $50 USD?
TRUST ME, YOU'LL NEVER GET ANYTHING OVER MAYBE $100....if ur lucky mate...think about it. I'm prayin' 4 it before i pass on.
