Yesss...George called me about it and after thinking about it for a full nanosecond, I said, "go for it!"

It's now owned by North of Malibu's bass player Joseph (formerly hardcore Fender guy).

It's an absolutely mint JG '97, without a fingerprint on it. Incredible sound and sustain. We'll be playing it out on June 10th, but had our first practice with it this afternoon.

Pictures soon...

Yeah, a surf group with a Rick bass!

Well done Paul, that's about the best deal I've seen all year.

George gets credit for this one...he spotted it, negotiated the deal, and spent a lot of time in a traffic jam on the 101, picking it up! All I did was say, "are you kidding?" when he asked me if this was a good deal.

Then it turned out to be mint...

So, for us, this was three Rickendeals from craigslist in three weeks! (His Turquoise 330/6, mint, for $850.00, my gorgeous FG '67 625 for $1100.00, and now Joe's '97 JG 4003...total for all three including some happy money=$2600.00 for a whole Rickenband.

Now if RIC only made drums...

You could put one of those Rickenstickers on a set of DW's.
