By BAD do you mean it has to be all beat up or you REALLY need one?!?! Image

Sorry. Wish I could help you out, Jeff.

My sympathies Jeff. I'm also looking for one to replace the odd black trc that came with my 86 4003S. It has the words 'made in USA' printed upside down. When I tried to get it replaced a year or so ago I was told by Rickenbacker that they didn't have any black trcs left...

I have been told as recently as this week that you can get a black trc from Ric.

Yes you can exchange for a black TRC from RIC, but it would have chrome or gold lettering as it would be from a 4004.

Alan, your TRC is cool. It's a factory goof, like a '55 double stamp penny. Its part of the instruments naturally infused individuality and mojo. I'd keep it.

Jeffery-what are you gonna put your black TRC on?

Jeffery, I've at last found my box of spare trc's and there's a "white lettering on black" one in there, it has the "model 4001" lettering, but i'm in the UK! anyway, let me know if you'd want to swap, or will wait for a USA based one!

That's true Jeff, and seeing as I can't imagine ever selling this beauty I might just leave it as is. Good luck finding one yourself.

Also Alan, although the holes line up for these TRC's that are close in year, I have some new TRC's that don't quite line up with the TRC's from my 80's Ricks. I think they've changed slightly.
