I think this is how they get you.

I just received this Email from an official looking Ebay source.

I can't tell you how many of those I've received, or like suspensions. It looks like the real deal until you carefully look at the return web addresses.

When you get one of these, you should forward the email with full header to [email protected], and let them know you think you're being phished.

I fell for this one time about 5 years ago, and my account got taken over for a few days. Luckily, I was able to reconcile and keep my username, as I had alot of positive feedback that I didn't want to lose. That's the only email scam I ever fell for (and last I hope).

I'm getting these scam Paypal ones at the moment...

I get both the Ebay and Paypal scams at least once a day. Sending them to spoof doesn't seem to help.

It does help to send them to spoof@. The links that are in these fake emails never stay up for a day or two.

Never, under any circumstances, respond to an email from any company that asks you to update your information.

With Ebay, never open an email that is sent to your personal email address. Open and respond only to those emails that appear in your Ebay messages after logging into MyEbay.

I've had that eBay email too...its amazing how efficient the scammers are by now.

Never follow their links ... instead logon onto ebay or paypal and check your account ...
