Nice choice Charly, this is one of my all time favourites. Produced by Pete Townshend who I believe , also played bass and exceptional bass at that.

The general public is usually aware of the song, but have no idea who Thunderclap Newman is!

Andy "Thunderclap" Newman, was the keyboard player. The song was written by John "Speedy" Keen, the drummer. I understand it was a project put together by Townshend. Pity it ended so soon.

The guitarist in TN was Jimmy McCulloch, later of Wings.

Song has always been a fave. On my iPod.

Is it played tuned to an "E" chord?

I used to tune to that and play it that way.
