Here is some video from last february's slaughter of Abbey Road, plus a few other beatles tunes... playing the 4001c64s again...

I took John Allgaier's advice and stuck with blonde...

Enjoy!

John, great tone. What rig/strings were you using?

thanks!

I have Thomastik Ifeld Jazz Flats on it, great sound and super low tension. I'm playing through a Ashdown Mag 300 4x10. A pretty inexpensive rig, but the 4001c64s sounds great through it.

John - love the Ric and love the fem look. Is that the kind of thing where when the band starts looking good/hot, you know it's time to stop drinking??? hahahahahah
Great performances, looked like lots of fun!

John, it does indeed sound great. I may have to try TIs some time. I've never been that big on flats, having used them exclusively in the first couple of years of playing, but I may find a use for them on a spare bass after listening to that, and I've never tried TIs previously.

Tom - Thanks Tom, It was a blast, the silly costumes keep it from being too serious, and if the band starts lookin' good to ya, maybe it's time to start drinking more!

Shaun - The TI's have that nice flat sound but are still clear, if that makes any sense. Plus the c64s is a punchy bass to start with,

John, loved the blonde with the dark beard! Image Wise choice!

Once again, you guys had a lot of fun with it. Gotta wait until I'm on the desk speakers to hear the tone - these notebook speakers sound terrible.
