The greatest music video ever made!

Post by longhouse »

You may have a different opinion (which is wrong, of course Image ). This is the single greatest video clip ever made:

Even better than the Church vids with Marty's Rickenbacker or the Beatles with George swinging his cherry SG.

That was fun, Busby Berkeley for the modern age.

Wow, that Freddie and the Dreamers performance was a little painful! What a bizarre addition the Woody Woodpecker laugh was. Oh my... I bet Ed Sullivan was mumbing 'what the...'

It's funny, I'm a HUGE admirer of Busby Berkeley (even bought the TCM box set!) but never drew that comparison. It is indeed a day-glo modern take on the scene from Footlight Parade.

This has to be the greatest video ever made. It has everything a great music video should have: Rhythm, fantastic camerawork, a story people can relate to and of course girls:

Another classic.

But, this one is my favorite, although out of my normal taste in music....

Love the song, the singer/songwriter (the Ethel Merman of rock and roll), the video and the car.

Then I have to watch this one after that.

I wished they would have done a video to the song "Call of the West"

Speaking of Cars, i remember, back when i was a kid, i've seen the video of them (i think it was them) that gave me nightmares cause it featured some strange people, like three-handed women etc. But i cannot remember the song title - does anybody remember that vid and were that Cars or perhaps somebody else?
