If you put a reserve on it, it won't kill the BIN.

Hey guys!

An update on this....I sent a few mails asking the buyer did they want me to look into shipping etc...I didn't hear anything back and in the end I looked for the best value shipping I could find. I've just had a mail back saying something to the effect of:

I was bidding on the bass for a friend but they've got a different one now....

So I may have to relist it again - third time lucky!!!

I'm only selling it because when we start touring and doing a full album I want something with a different tone!

So if anyone has a 3001 to trade feel free to contact me.
Tell me does it feel the same when you've set upon a change but your heart's in the old times?

There's a lovely 3001 on the bay but they're only shipping in the US....so unlike all those bidders on my bass who don't heed where I ship to - I'll heed that!

Ronan, as Jim offered you this first, it's your call. But if you dont fancy it then, thanks Jim i'll be in touch. Just one question which I'd like your opinion on guys. The seller says there is no trace of a serial number. Do you think this could be a dodgy or not?

Hey Jim,

That's a very generous offer, as is your Ole. Do you want to talk off forum Ole? If you have msn or yahoo messneger we could maybe chat there.

The rule of thumb I'd say is. Speak to the good people on this site before doing anything. hey'll bend over back wards to help you out one way or another! Other than that I'm keeping tight lipped for now ;)

But I will say Tim and Jim are true gentlemen!

I've sold two Rics out of the country, have one on right now as a matter of fact. Just wait (like the others have said) until the money is in your bank account, paypal is not a problem except they take about 3%. Once it's sold take it to your shipper all ready to go, give them the address and find out how much the total shipping is, add it to the price and tell the buyer how much the total is, it's easy and you will get more money from overseas. Once the money is in your paypal account immediately transfer it to your bank account and wait until it actually is in there, takes 2-3 days usually, then you are in the clear, then ship it.

Bob,
There's a 3001 heading over to the UK, Paypal took 5.9% for the UK - US transaction and conversion, other than that went it went very smoothly.
