I'll be in LA tomorrow...
Or Anaheim, or Santa Ana, that area, I'll have a few hours to kill during the day waiting for the Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals, anyone have any places I need to see?

Cruise PCH; Huntington Beach to Laguna Beach or Dana Point or vice versa. If you go to Huntington Beach the Huntington Beach Brewery is two blocks up from the pier.
To get there take I-405 to Beach Blvd, take that to PCH (where it ends), turn right and drive about 2 miles to downtown. Park, walk out on to the pier. Check out the bikinis and the surfers.
Head back down PCH south through Newport Beach and Corona del Mar, down through Crystal Cove to Laguna. Down past the multi-million dollar homes and eventually to Dana Point.
PCH runs out there and joins up with I-5. Take it north to head back into the heart of Orange County and to get to the Pond.

Ah man I'm jealous! I'll be glued to the tv though Steve, so don't forget to wave.
My band is playing on Saturday about a mile from Scotiabank Place (where the Ottawa Senators will be soundly defeating the Anaheim Ducks) and we'll be taking a three hour break to watch the game. I'm expecting the post-game crowd to be in a frenzy! Go Sens Go!

Yep, went out just for the game, and a little extra fun, got to see Hollywood, Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach and some of Long Beach, it was NICE!
The game however, well, I was rooting for the Sens, and it didn't turn out my way. But it was a blast! My seat was right behind Ray Emery for the 1st and 3rd periods. Let's hope for a better result tonight.
Joey, sorry I missed your email, I was out the door for the airport when it showed up. Next time!

I AM from Ottawa and to put the loss into perspective for our American friends, it's like having the Super Bowl, NBA Championship and World Series all held on the same day with your city losing each of them! (For Brits, substitute Champions League and Premier League titles in the above scenario.)
Hockey means life in this part of the world -- it's a bigger part of our culture than any other single entity. That's why the NHL and Senator's owner Eugene Melnyk recently visited our peacekeeping troops in Afghanistan with the Stanley Cup -- a very classy move that really energized a very deserving group of men and women doing a thankless job.
Ah well, at least I have my newly acquired Yamaha BB1200 to try to lift my spirits! Now to get rid of those skinny little Rotosounds currently on it and install my LaBella James Jamerson bridge-cable flats! Hmm, I wonder if they'll sound any bassier? lol!

I've often thought I jinx the teams I root for.
