Agreed John, this is one of the best active threads on the forum. A very good read and funny too. In fact it's the first one I read every day.

Alisha, Graham and Pete, thanks for all of the photos, especially the SRV and Hendrix Flying V shots. What I would give to hold that guitar!

I can't believe that you actually got to hold these instruments. I assume Graham has "contacts" Image

The Hendrix V was custom built for him and used during his final "Cry of Love" Tour, including the Maui concerts and the August 1970 Isle of Wight show. The Hard Rock Cafe, Dallas, paid just $11,000 for that guitar in '85 or '86. What a bargain!

What's the story with the 360WB?????

Good morning!

Sorry about the typo on the guitar (guess I don't know my Fenders as much as I should), and 'The Vault' is open to the public Darren so start planning your trip to see those guitars!

I'm being walked to the train station by Graham today for my first solo day in London (he has to work)....so there should be some interesting photos n' such today.

Last night was the Rufus Wainwright concert and it was AMAZING! He is touring the US in late summer and I highly recommend it.

Alisha, Graham is only pretending. He doesn't really work at all.

Enjoy the day in London town! Image

For those who were wondering what London looked like today, here is my first shot of the day walking down one of the streets at mid-day:

And if you want to buy a guitar in London, here is the famous Denmark Street, where the likes of Rose Morris, Andy's Guitar, Music Ground, etc all have their storefronts (all of the stores combined would probably fill up a typical guitar center). I picked up a great pedal today as well.

Lastly, the Rufus Wainwright show as I posted before was superb...here is a shot of last night's performance at the Old Vic Theater.

Tomorrow is the day we head off to Stratford-Upon-Avon for a couple days and so it might be a bit of silence on my end (but I promise I'll be keeping up on the photo's!).

Thanks to all for the kind words on this thread!

Loving the pics, Alisha! Graham's looking a bit cold in that Denmark Street shot, though!

It's an interesting street to be sure but I found most of the vintage stuff pretty expensive - especially any Ricks that were hanging around.

Did he take you downstairs at the Virgin Megastore? That's more like your common or garden Guitar Centre! Image
