I think that Graham should organise and host an "official" forum tour of all the interesting places in the UK. We could hire a red double decker bus and cover the whole country.

It wouldn't be cheap but it would be the best two weeks of our lives!

Who wants to come?

Hello hello! We're off to Stratford-Upon-Avon for the weekend in a couple hours, and I don't think there'll be much internet availability (I could be wrong). I'll keep up with the photo duty but it might be quiet from my end on this thread until Sunday.

Having been a bus driver since the 70s,I can tell you that your average old Leyland PD2 double decker
will only do about 55mph on the flat.Hope you have plenty of time!
I used to work for NorthWestern buses in Manchester but as most of the fleet originated in Liverpool the destination blinds still had all the Liverpool stuff on them.
I used to enjoy driving back to depot empty with Penny Lane (bus terminus) on the front...plenty of people put their hand out in hope!
Try St Helens bus museum or Manchester Queens Road bus museum if you want a taste of the buses the Beatles would have rode to shcool and work in the late 50s and early 60s.
Happy days...I remember on the coach ride to Southport as a kid listening to Ticket to Ride on the radio...
I work with jumbo jets these days...just buses with wings really.

Greetings everyone from Stratford-Upon-Avon aka the birthplace of Shakespeare! I found this rent-a-computer in the hotel lobby and I thought I'd do a small post.

This place is absolutely gorgeous and I had a great day checking out Shakespeare's birthplace, grave, houses, theaters, etc. I've been taking a bunch of pictures and the sights have been incredible.

Let me also add that if any forum member would like me to send out a postcard from here or London, let me know and I will happily oblige...

I'm going to take your advice tomorrow and check out the butterfly farm and will probably rent a boat to cruise around the small river going around the town.

But tonight is the big deal of England's match vs. Brazil at Wembley. Beckham's back and so is Michael Owen (double hooray!) and at the brand new Wembley it is going to be fantastic rooting for this match!
