Yellowing. Can't stop time.

Post by s4001 »

My 4003JG '97 has been yellowing the past year. Just this week I noticed the slight greenish tinge developing over the black and the binding is yellowing. Bummer. Great playing and sounding bass, but I'm definitely a fan of the bright new color. Oh well, what'ya gonna do?

Nothing yellows nicer than black. Not even Fireglo Image. I just love the look of greenish black with cream binding and a few battle scars.

"Yellowing" or "greening" is an acquired taste. I remember being bothered by my Silver 4003 with the greenish tinge in the beginning. But I quite enjoy it now. Tough to beat the elements, in any event.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Bob, it is a '99 that I had Dale rework to look like a '68.

Scott, yes you do! Image
