Where's the party?

Post by melibreits »

Has it been unusually quiet on the Forum this last week, or does it just seem that way?

Has there been anything fun going on lately in the realm of "all things Rickenbacker?"

It seems like it's been a long time since we've had some funny threads like "Jammin' in the Can" or wacky pictures like Aitch's making a splash in the tub with his Ric or spanking a Strat.... Or laughing out loud from the occasional perfectly-timed witty response....

I miss getting an occasional chuckle when I pop in here for a break from my endless business spreadsheets, LOL!

Is everybody on vacation, or what?

Maybe I just need to get away from my computer and get a life, too....

May I be the first to say...

Hey Paul, at this point even a Curmudgeonly rant would be fine for some entertainment, LOL! Image

The kids and husband are vegged out playing Nintendo, so I figured I'd get caught up on a backlog of work, but it's (yawn) getting sooo repetitive....

...But actually, I just took care of my boredom problem for the day and invited my good friend Billy D. over for some dinner and a jam session after....

That's as much fun as a party for me! Image

Since it's warm and the windows are open, we'll serenade the neighborhood with our joyful racket....

I've noticed it's been somewhat quiet on the forum, also. Are we all talked out?

Over the last few days I've been involved with a fair bit of "off-line" assistance with friends from all over the planet, with respect to the RM 1999 bass I've purchased.

There will be a party at my place once I have the bass in my hands. Everyone is invited! Image

Sorry to report Melissa,

I have been AWOL a lot over the past few months. Too much work and not enough playtime for me. My post count is way way down from previous monthly averages, but I do manage to read as many posts as I possibly can. Sometimes I am very late to the party as a consequence.

Congrats, Darren.... wish I could make it to your party in Oz! Image

Hopefully I'll be able to make it to the one in SoCal again this year!

I was floatin' on a boat in the Abaco's...

Truly beautiful, but I missed the chat here.

I don't know what that says about me!

I've been fabricating prototype enclosures for my most recent work project (I lack some experience with such things) and it has been monsterously time consuming.

Now I have to practice some for a really fun acoustic gig in the Santa Cruz area next Saturday (Sunday I'm going to try to catch George and Paul's annual pancake hurl/car show gig in Santa Rosa.)

Nice Chapin quote, but the kids had the flu!
