I'm pretty comfy with this one, thanks. Besides, I think I'll get a Yugo instead, the insurance is cheaper and you never have to change the oil!

Hmmm, so would this one have originally come with the slotted aluminum tailpiece, or was it routed for some kinda Badass bridge?

Seller says "ME", i.e. May 1973. The "slotted" bridge assembly was no more - I think. As for the pickguard, it is a replacement all right. Ditto for the neck pickup which should be a toaster.

As for the second '73 4001, it has full width inlays, which tells me it should have a "slotted" bridge assembly. And similarly the neck pickup on it should be a toaster.

Plus, what's with the finish on it?

Pickguard, toaster, easily replaced....plus a few other goodies.

They do however, at first glance look like them. That's not a bad price for a '73, with very nice wood originally.
