Wish I was there. How fun would it be to get out of your head dancing with Keith Moon and John and Yoko?

I was a couple years behind in that I "found" (US NAVY) San Francisco, Santa Cruz, beach parties, pot, and rock and roll in the spring of 1970. Two straight (well, not so straight!) years of Saturday night at the Spaghetti Factory in North Beach, and then the Filmore West, down on Market! What a time!
I had a tradition while I was there. About two blocks up the street from The City Lights Bookstore, was a little Fish and Chips place called Edna's. She was a wry old British lady, who went down to the wharf every day for her fish. And, to give it that authentic flavor, each order was wrapped in the London Times! On Sunday morning about brunch/lunch, I would head into the City from Treasure Island and have Fish and Chips!

No doubt you have a lot of stories you can't remember! I love San Francisco. After 4 years of marriage, my wife and I moved there in 1994. We intended to have one more year of wild fun and then have a baby, but baby came right away instead. Just about tried to sue the Trojan company... But baby was very cool. We only lived there a couple years before we could no longer afford it. Had a nice house on Bowdoin with a back yard (a rarity) with fruit trees...quince, apricot, loquat...and if you stood on your tiptoes, a view of the bay and the Bay Bridge.
But I sure would have liked to have been there a couple decades before...
