Maybe only short of the White Falcon, Mitch.

About two years ago, I literally had the Penguin in one hand and the Falcon in the other and debated for hours which to get. The Falcon's big body won me over, but I fell in love with the Penguin.

John,2 days before I bought the Penguin I was debating whether to buy this Falcon when it was bought right before my eyes. What a deal! When I saw the Penguin I decided "It's Now Or Never".Definitly a tough choice between those two.

Swee-eee-eeet!

I think my next guitar is going to be a Gretch. I've been listening to The Brian Setzer Orchestra's live record lately, and what he does along with the sound of the Gretch(s) he plays has inspired me more than anything I've heard in a loooong time.

Um, pardon my misspelling on that last post folks. *Gretsch* guitar. Repeat mantra : *Gretsch* guitar.

Gretsches are my Japanese-American passion, second only to Ricks.

DISTANT second, I might add.

Not all my Gretsches are shown here, and the second from left on the wall is Aitch's deVille, before I sent it off to the Land of Oz.

I love the Dynasonics, and next plan (after the Billy-Bo Penguin is broken in!) is for a Country Club in Natural with Dynas.

When we used to buy Bigsby vibratos in bulk for the 325V59, we were mildly amused that all the packing boxes were carefully printed with the logo "Grestch".

If even they can't get it right, why should you be concerned?

When did you get the double cutaway 6128, Paul?

Were it not for a ****** demo model at my favourite guitar shop 3 years ago I probably wouldn't be here!! Image

I've had some issues with the 3 Gretschs I've had...and sold this year...2 were the RI Duo-Jets..liked the sound and the Harrison vibe..one had some grounding issues that were fixable..the other had a twist to the neck..not fixable. Also had a Setzer that had a junko .cheapo harnes that we replaced with a TV Jones setup before selling...I've had much better luck with DeArmond T-400's..everyone I've had has been good...but...for our Brit Inv and 60's tunes I'm going with my Rick 330 !

Hmmm...

I think my favorite out of Paul's bunch would be the deep red one on the floor with the gold pickguard.
