Really nice maple on that one. I like the look of the maple neck and the BT.

Looks legit to me. Micro dot position markers, a maple board would make total sense on a Tux.

Wonder if the Redneck and Blackstar are also maple under the paint.

"Emperor what?"

I don't think this is OUR emperor, this guy has been a member since '99. Our emp changes as often as you change your socks.

These Emperors are a weird bunch.

A Tuxedo without paint is a...

It is my impression that the Blackstar, Redneck, and Tuxedo had maple fingerboards.

This does look nifty! I like it even more than the white paint.

Kind of a natural albino bass. Maple on maple. I wonder if JH is listening?

Paul W - just wear one of these:

Seller claims he can hear a difference now that the bass has a thinner finish.

I wonder if he can also hear me laughing right now?

I was surprised to learn that Tuxedos had maple boards. I just assumed they were rosewood like the rest of 4003 production that were just painted over(a practice I thought a bit tacky). The maple on maple looks really slick. I have no doubt that it sounds different with an oiled finish than the stock finish as Jeff Rath has noted many times with his 4004 comparisons.
