If you could only buy one more Ric bass...
What would it be?
Since I've managed to score pretty well lately, I think the only bass that I need in my collection is a 4002, but can't make my mind up whether Walnut or Natural is better.
I guess a runner up is okay, so that would be a '67-72 4001 with checker binding, and wide pearl inlays.

I would like a Sea Foam Green 4003S5. Does anyone know how many were made as five-strings? Are any available? If so, how much would one cost?
Other than that, I would want a new Montezuma Brown (which I can still "order"), a fretless (maybe a tuxedo), a 4002, and maybe a 4004CII natural quilted like that one on ebay last month.
So many basses . . . so little MONEY!

I hear you Paul. I have seen at least one Sea Foam five, if not two. What they'd go for now is unknown, but the one I know for sure I saw was around $1800 if my memory is correct. Unfortunately, with these limited colors, it is often not possible to know what one wants (or be able to afford it) until you can't order them at the more reasonable new price.
That 4004CII is a nice bass.
