There's a saying - It doesn't matter of you talk good or bad about someone, as long as you talk about them.

The more the situation is discussed, it actually helps those you think you are hurting.

eg - Local real estate guy was ripping the eyes out of minority and low income folk be selling them foreclosures which were (seriously in some cases)taped together. The news ran stories on the man, followed him all over the place, exposed him for everything.

The result - business was never better. He flipped over 500 houses the following year.

Just my 2 cents

I picked up mine on Tuesday. When I played it in the shop, I thought the neck felt like my 4001CS, but now I think it's closer to my 2003 4003, although perhaps a little thinner. Looks great - even the fingerboard looks specially selected.

A couple of photos, which don't do it justice:

PS - I really feel gutted for those of you who were misled on these...

Jon, I think you're right about the necks being special.

"It sure would be nice if someone would hook Jeff and Ted up with some of those spare 4003's."

I'd steer clear of that topic Jdog (and JPS).....I started a real feces-storm in another thread when I sort of touched on the same subject. Cash is King apparently.

FWIW, I gigged the DCM again last nite. What a tone beast. Snarl for days. I didn't even use a preamp this time. Image

...and it still smells like grapes.

It's great to see DCMs being used as intended, Scott. I'm guilty of not gigging with my 330 simply because I get very few gigs! It's had a couple of runs at rehearsal but as soon as the opportunity arises it'll be out there!! Image

Thanks. I love the snarl it gets. I've got a July 4th gig and I'll probably take it, too. I've recently been re-enamored with my '97 4003 so it's a toss up which one goes with me.

To date, no one has recognized it at a gig...

Scott, that is because they are so damn rare! I don't think many RIC dealerships here in the UK know about the DCM let alone having seen one.

I think because at the moment they are changing hands fairly regularly the rareity aspect has not hit home yet. I would have guessed in a few years time they will be a thing of myth and legend.

Mine will be a thing of smoke and beer.

Beer good, smoke bad!

I thought smoking wasn't permitted indoors in Cali?
