Perhaps the worst thing is some of these kinds of parts are turning up on used made in USA guitars?

I'm not a Gibson player, but for $2.98, I may have a bash, LOL.

Yeah, can't say I ever saw a Gibson purchased for $2.98. However, in my earlier years, I think I owned a guitar or two that were worth even less.
