I saw Linda in spring of '80, on her "Mad Love "
LP tour; Kenny Edwards was playing a 60s Fireglo doublebound 12[Kenny had played bass with her in the 70s as well..]

When new wave began running on fumes, its coolness factor was followed by unfortunate trends; Fenders with locking vibrato systems, and sweaters that can only be described as 80s nightmares.
This is off the record

GREAT song and (as I've mentioned) I love(d) Linda. But this was not one of her finer moments.

Here is the original, btw:

I'm a HUGE LINDA fan and can never get enough of the videos of her at that prison concert. It would seem her dress may be considered cruel and unusual punishment!

No Ricks in this video.

Damn!

Such a voice - she makes it look so easy, yet puts so much into it.

It was 1974 Charly. 'Nuff said. <heheheh> Image

And yeah, I really like how she sings ballads, too. Aw heck--almost anything.

Great shot of Andrew Gold and his Rick. Looks like a 320 with a Bigsby.

'Course Linda heats it up too.......

Thanks! Say, was Glenn Frey -one of those rare Ric Signature guys- in the Stone Poneys? Help a young man with his music history.

No, Frey was never a member (as far as I know) of the Stone Poneys.
The confusion might be because Frey was, at one time, a backup musician for Linda.

As far as any of the SP playing a RIC - I never saw that but greater minds may have to chime on on that one.
