Wow! With all these NT threads going on in various forums here, I'll just place my rambling comments on this one...

First and foremost, I hope everyone scammed gets their money back. With interest and/or damages (whatever the courts want to call it).

Second, I personally don't think that a simple apology by NT (if one were to happen, which I doubt) to Paul and others involved would be enough in this case. I've not yet read anything on other forums about this, but it's pretty clear to me that NT brought other names (like PW) into this only after he was confronted by a couple of his "customers" (Alisha and Graham). Something like this:

Customers: What's the status of my guitar order? You've had my money a long time now...

NT: Well, uh, they're in the process...Being built, I mean. Yeah, that's the ticket...

Customers: So when can I expect to get it?

NT: I gave PW the money months ago. Don't know what's up with his schedule, but I'll let you know. (as soon as I can come up with another lie)

Etc. etc...

Anyway, this whole scenario blows my mind. It's kind of clear that he (NT) only started mentioning "other names" in an effort to get the heat off of himself for the time being. And he got caught up in the midst of being found out from all sides all at once. He knows he's caught too.

Don't know if he's got a drug or gambling or loan shark kind of problem or what prompted all this stuff - but he knows he's in deep, and he's not going to get out of it easily.

I just hope that everyone involved will go the legal way and press charges and sue the living heck out of him. Of course that doesn't guarantee that monetary paybacks will ever happen, but at least there will be some jail time involved. We're talking multiple grand theft felonies here at the very least. Don't know about defamation of character violations, but those cases/payoffs happen all the time too.

I suppose this means I'll see neither my deposit or my Mercedes.

Wow, that appears to be exactly the same Mercedes I bought too. Exact same photos I was sent too. Funny, how can that be? I sent in my deposit and everything, so you must be mistaken about THIS one being yours too Image Image Mine is supposed to be delivered any day now, y'see .....

Elys, I have no doubt that if that car was badged Rickenbacker instead of Mercedes, you'd own it by now!

Only if it had full-width sparkley triangular fret markers down the side, and checkerboard binding too! Image
