Dressing frets

Post by charlyg »

I took the strings off my Yamaha FG-335II acoustic and as I was cleaning it up I noticed that the frets need dressing. Just wondering if this is in the realm of something folks can do, or should I take it in. It isn't worth all that much. I bought it for 200 bucks used about 12 years ago, and now it is worth way less with the influx of all the rest of the Asian guitars out there. It has a real low action, so I would like to keep it around.

I'd say that if it's a keeper to you, then take it to someone you trust and have it done. I would not attempt such a thing myself as anything could go wrong. Just my 2 cents...
