Just bought a Markbass - the Walter Woods must go!
I just picked up a Markbass LMK head. It's a terrific little two channel amp that works great with Ric-o-sound! As well it's light as a feather and pumps out 300 watts. As a result I must regrettably part with my Walter Woods M1 100-8 head. These are terrific little amps for small gigs. Details in "The Others".
Anyone else out there using a LMK with their Rickenbacker?

They are indeed powerful and brimming with toneful goodness, Steve. Mine is one of the "heavy" ones (22 lbs) that I bought from a dealer who was clearing them out to make room for the new lighter weight line.
Assuming your Ampeg is 8 ohms, I think you'll hear a huge difference when you add a second 8 ohm cab, bringing the amp to a 4 ohm load and freeing up the full 500 watts. A nice portable 15 would go good with the Ampeg 12.
Enjoy the amp. Here's hoping it's as trouble-free for you as mine has been for me.

I've got a Little Mark II that I use with a Sansamp RBI and it really makes the pickups in a 4004 sound great, nice and clear. Humbuckers really seem to like the Markbass amps, if you go to the Ernie Ball forums you see that Sterling Ball is a big advocate for Markbass with Stingrays/Bongos.

i have the 1-12 combo also-i love it-it sounds better than anything i have ever played through-interesting to hear it compares favorably with the holy grail of bass amps!(ww)i dug out an old art phat-boy efx pedal that has a "drive" setting, and am getting a really quite nice tube-y sound with it,plus the effects have never sounded as good,i had sort of put it away for years,as it never sounded that great with my previous amps...i think a 2nd smaller markbass combo would be great to run efx/rickosound with-except both my ricks are mono. anyway, markbass rules!
