New Bass project

Post by green_us90 »

My new bass project- Frickensploiter.
WIll have 3 pickup, 2ea new toasters headed my way, and an extra '75 4001 Neck highgain for 3ea, vol-vol-vol-tone. 500K pots, so it should be pretty bright. Might have to run a .1uf cap to make it dark. Original plan was to run humbuckers but that changed.

Will be Fender Seafoam green, or Sonic blue.

Thanks to Jeff Rath for the bridge. Those 4004 setups are real nice. Oh yeah, gold hardware. It's a tribute to Entwistle's Peter Cook Fender-explorer hybrids. This will go nicely with my Frickenbird hybrid.

I'm in the final stages of a F*nd*rbird project right now in Sonic blue. I just need to get the pickguard and bridge pickup surround made. Sorry, no Ric content on this one!

Personally, I would modify that Warmoth body to get the neck inset deeper.

Ah, that center Fenderbird (Fenderboard?) knocks my socks off.

A clean, mean, lean work of art.

Now, about the rug...

Agreed... that is a great looking thing. IMO only, a pair of P-bass pickups would have made it more desirable. I really think this body and neck combination works !

Jeff, I agree with Paul and Keith, that bass is stunning.
