Thanks, Charly, I love Traffic.

Wonder how long this good YouTube thing can last? Today is like a golden age of rock and roll access. Nostalgic for Traffic in 1971? YouTube seems to find something from anywhere. We the general public check it out in droves and like it, driving sales, generating income, creating a new Need... and then I remember what copyright means to a hungry artist.

I wonder which way it will go. My guess is that most anything you produce, live or recorded, can immediately be copied and rebroadcast with no renumeration to the artist. Laws will be on the artist's side, but work will be shared freely anyway.

I am going to get the DVD. Without youtube, I would have not known it existed, or even thought to look for it.

And I'll keep watching it for free, and wondering about it. Image

It has some sentimental value for me. I did not like Winwood's solo stuff. Under the banner of Traffic however, he suddenly becomes tasty! I had cleaned up my act (12 step stuff) in 86, and had seen the Moody Blues at Universal (92 I think) with my wife and another couple as my first rock concert while straight. In 94, I heard wind of Traffic getting back together for an album and tour, so I snatched up the cd, and waited for them to come to LA for my 2nd concert. I was not disappointed! So having the DVD, with the extras etc., is worth it to me.
