I was the only bidder on it, and it was gonna come with a cardboard case., but I got the hardshell Gibson original case for 50 more bucks, as the cardboard one that he was including, ended up being too shabby when he dug it out. He first wanted 100 for the better case, and I turned him down.

OH, AND I WANTED TO ADD, THE ONLY THING WORSE THAN TALKING ABOUT GIBSONS ON A RICK BOARD, IS TALKING ABOUT FENDERS ON A GIBSON THREAD! He says rather loudly! {:^)

I know, but I wanted to have a little fun anyways! {:^)

Obviously the neck on this EBO needs to be reset. Some say it isn't worth it to reset a neck, but I don't recall Dale ever saying that.

That very same style EBO was my first real bass.

I hope you all have a good laugh at this picture. Here is a picture of it, with a few others when I was 13.

Well, I just picked it up. He did a great job! There were 2 cracks in the neck and body on each side where the neck meets body, and the set neck portion was lifted about 1/16th of an inch. He had to clean out a bunch of glue, and then he epoxied it back together clamping both top and bottom and lengthwise. I believe he said 30 lbs. of "clamp" tension. It looks like someone may have been "El-Kabong'd"! The fellow who changed from the 2 point bridge to the badass butchered the job, and I had bought a 3 point bridge off ebay. Unfortunately, he couldn;t use the same holes as the two point due to intonation issues. So......it's got mojo, plays like a dream, and I have a total of 450 bucks in it.

I'll be putting chromes on it later tonight.......

Plus, Dave wants more folks to see that pic!
