Fireglo V-63 on Ebay, mislabled

Post by rictified »

It's listed as a 4003, the owner realized it but as of this writing it is only at about $700.00. with 4 days left. Looks to be in very nice shape, with original silver case.

Bob, I noticed another FG listed with a familiar username...

Yeah Dan, I had a choice of using the junk amps here in Lima or buying one of the only SVT heads here, in order to do that I had to sell one of my basses. I had two which were common and easy to replace, a 96 jetglo which plays great but looks like hell and this one, which plays great and looks great, so I figured it would be a lot easier to sell. I had put it in Rics for sale here but got no bites so here it goes hopefully, (well at least the guy I bought the head from hopes so).

Oh, there is also one more familiar user name there, or there was yesterday anyway.

They are the sacrafices we have to make sometimes, but like you said, at least they are easily replaced! I take it that you have been putting the SVT to good use?

Nope, I bought it the old fashioned way. By outbidding everyone else! Can't wait to get it, I've been wanting one for a while now.

I was pretty surprised when bidding stopped so low. I made the owner a much higher offer to stop the auction, but she wouldn't take it. In the end I got quite a bargain.

Dan I'll be putting it to good use when I replace ALL the tubes in it, and I mean all 14, it even had some original Magnavox pre-amp tubes in it from the late 70's, talk about microphonic.

WOW, I didn't realize there's 14 tubes in it. I imagine it's going to be rather expensive to replace all at one time, but well worth it! Can you find replacement parts there or do you have to wait till you get back to the states?
