Hipshot bass bridge (black / Rick style)

Post by cheyenne »

Got a brand new one for sale if anyones interested, if not its off to the 'bay.

Black finished brass. Nice bridge, lots of adjustment, and you can palm mute with it. I bought it to see what all the fuss was about, but decided to go original..

No bridge lift with this baby..

Really Scott? I thought you liked the sustain of the Hipshot? I actually just ordered one in black/brass last week, for my '87 4003JG.

I like it alot. There's absolutely nothing wrong with these bridges. In fact as far as adjustability and sustain, they are far superior. (sorry John).

You wont be dissapointed Greg.

I just have a thing with originality when it comes to a discontinued finish / trim option.

Call me crazy,,,you wont be the first. Image

Yeah, I'm looking to get my JG all blacked out, and after the black Hipshot the only thing left will be some black tuners. I see that Hipshot also sells those. After I put the Pickguardian parts on this bass, and swapped the TRC with another forum member, I kind of threw the idea of keeping it all original out the window. Now I'm just going for a good look and great sound, and ease of adjustment.

When I had that bass I was going to 4-2-5 it and use it as my main 5 string bass ... but I couldn't bring myself to modify it ...

but if I were ever serious about playing a 4 string Ric bass I would consider the hipshot bridge ...
