The Jefferson Starship were on the "Today" show (in the States) Saturday morning.
Here is a clip of "Volunteers."
Nice views of Paul's Jetglo.

No, Gene, it is the same Volunteers (basically). G, F and a passing C chord.
Some "Volunteers" trivia . . .
- Marty saw a Volunteers of America truck (sort of like the Salvation Army) which gave him the idea for the song. The original title for the album was going to be Volunteers of America (or Amerika) but the organization protested against it to RCA.
- The first Woodstock album includes the Airplane opening their set with “Volunteers” (Good morning people!) But that was all done with editing. They actually opened with “The Other Side of This Life.”
- JA ran into ABC censors who refused to allow them to sing “Mexico” during an appearance on the Dick Cavett Show. In defiance, the band played a very long version of “Volunteers” refusing to stop, even as the credits rolled at the end of the show.
- During a show from the Winterland ballroom, Marty is heard saying at the end of the song “I need a new band!” He quit shortly after.
Let's see if JH has any "corrections" about this post.
