Sergio, I didn't start at the factory till later in the year, don't know much about that one, but I do have one of your Treble 4001 pickups that you rebuilt/restored to factory specs. It's for Robert De La Cruz's 4001. Beautiful work, just awesome. His Bass is going to be restored, it's a 1972 with some issues but nothing to serious and will be a player when finished. Email me @ fortuneguitars @ yahoo. com I may have something you might be interested in....
Here are some pics, as promised...
This is a "before" pic of the headstock. I shaped it in keeping with a 60's profile. It was originally a "bulbous" headstock, typical of a 2000 V63. The TRC was also shortened and re-shaped.
Here is another "before" shot. Ready for disassembly at Dale's shop.
Here's one of the strip in process. I don't think a transparent finish would have been good on this one, as the neck is noticeably darker than the body wings. I wanted white anyway, but I'm glad I'm not covering up some nice figure.

Hi Dale. Why, thank you for your kind words re: my humble pickup. No matter how much I value anyone's opinion - whether favourable or not - on my "creations", yours certainly matters more to me. Thanks again. Watch your mail box.

A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.
Hey all...
The job is progressing nicely. Dale sent some photos this morning. All I can say is WOW!
The repair to the neck/body separation, included the filling of the route under the toaster. It was cut deeper than required, and was a real weak spot. Dale said the neck was a little less than 1/8" thick there! I'm not sure why Ric does that??
The fingerboard dots have been removed, to make way for proper ones (made from binding material). The stain Dale used provided just the look I was after... NICE...
Check 'em out...
... Should be finished in about 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!

Hey all... thanks for asking!
Dale was to have finished, and delivered the bass, before he went on vacation. He did not finish on time, and is currently on his vacation.
Should be another month or so... I'm sad to say.
It's been a long wait...
I will update with the final pics ASAP.
Cheers
Sean
