What a bummer. Been travelling for a bit and am now home, unable to sleep. Decided to see what's been going on here in my absence and this is the first thing I read. Sad news indeed. My thoughts are with his family now.

My prayers go out to his family.

I'm in for flowers too.

Had a thought,as a lot of you have mentioned flowers how about a memorial section on the forum, like gone but not forgotten. So any forum member who passed away would be remembered.

As others have stated, too young. A loss of a talented and decent man. Condolences to his family and friends. I always enjoyed David's posts.

Wow, what a wakeup call. I'm going in Tuesday for a complete physical. I never look forward to those, but after news like this, I put up with the prodding and poking so I can hope to have just a little more time with the family and of course STAGE TIME. Some times all the precautionary measures cannot stop these things from happening though. R.I.P.
Is everybody ready?

Dang it. That really sucks. I never met Norton, but in checking out his website and seeing his love & care of guitars and general sweet demeanor, I would have been honored to make his acquaintance.

The timing here is eerie on a personal level. I lost a dear friend on June 26th 11 years ago, and a girlfriend on June 27th 15 years ago.

Shawn - that's a great idea! Hopefully you'll get enough support from those here who were close enough to those who have passed and can contribute in the way of pics & testimony.

Sean, it may look neat to you, but there was more reason than looks for that guard - it held the wings on the body!

Yeah, I saw that in the notes, but from a visual POV, it's cool.

Oh, jeez... So we can "check the obits" every time we log in to the forum? We are getting old...
