If you stretch out your strings properly when you put them on, every vibrato unit stays in tune "good".

(No hope for poor ol Doc Kaufmann, though.)

I put an Accent on a 1991 610 FG. It dropped right in using the strap peg from the R tailpiece. It's stays in tune if you don't use the vibrola.

...or if you actually want to use the unit, just stretch your strings when you put them on.

I abuse the whammy bar on the Accent and have no tuning woes. I can't believe the thing hasn't broken yet.

Same here. It is bulletproof, unbreakable, and stays in tune just fine.

STRETCH those strings!!!

+1 on stretching. I make unholy sounds with the Accent but never slip out of tune.

Just becareful that you don't impale yourself on the sharp pointy arm! I jabbed my leg once with it.

A lot of people get one of those rubber or plastic tips to put over the pointy end of the arm. Home Depot or Lowe's should carry them.

Indeed. I use a toggle switch tip from a pickup selector switch.
