A discussion elsewhere of the Velvet Underground album "Loaded" made me wonder about 60's albums that were not very successful or well-regarded upon their release...but they are still selling strong as ever to this day.

Best example I can think of is "Pet Sounds". Released 41 years ago this month to deafening silence from consumers; reviewers raved.
It's stood the test of time. As groundbreaking as "SPLHCB", for different reasons.
