"May, from the rock band Queen, reminded the queen that he had played the National Anthem on the palace roof to start a concert marking her 2002 Golden Jubilee. "

Ah yes, Mr. May - the reason I started playing guitar!

My comment was a line from an Eddie Izzard bit. Nothing nefarious behind it at all.

Anyone who don't know who at least one of them is lives in a bubble especially being from the same small country. I bet Bush knows who Clapton is, especially "Cocaine" haha!

...especially being from the same small country

Size is not everything, sir. Image And btw, a) my country is bigger than yours, he-he; b) IIRC, Elizabeth II is, say, slightly older than your president; she's even a bit older than my Grandmother, and my Grandmother wouldn't recognize for sure any of these foreign rock musicians (she would recognize the Beatles and Mark Knopfler, though). You may say she "lives in a bubble", of course, but you'd be surprised how many people around the world (especially older generations) have no idea who these guys are.
Nothing will get you dead quicker than being deadly serious about yourself.

Paul, you can attack our "king" or Premier Bush as Borat called him all you want, the majority of us here would agree with you, haha!
I did not mean small country as being derogatory, simply stating a fact. A friend on mine went over there during the mid 70's, around here he was a good musician but nothing spectacular, over there he was on there front page of Melody Maker. My father probably knows at least two out of the four, Clapton is more famous than the queen world wide I would bet.
