Scammer alert

This guy is pulling photos from other current auctions (even down to photos of the serial numbers in some cases - not the brightest bulb on the tree) and trying to make a quick buck. I'm tempted to go down the line and bid $10,000 on all his guitar auctions. Either that or some poor guy has had his account hijacked and his payment address changed and doesn't know it yet.

As I noted in another thread, it appears that the scammers are really flooding eBay right now. Most scams are from hijacked accounts. In fact, of these eight on eBay right now:

five are scams.

I find the best way to get scammers off ebay is to alert ebay via email. Copy the item number, go to "my ebay" tab, and start clicking on the links under the heading "security." You will find a "contact us by email" link to which you can report scammers. Just paste in the item number and sent it along. Ebay acts pretty fast these days.

I just use the Report this item link at the bottom of the listing.

I go one more step: I document fully the scam auction, then look up all the auctions under that User ID, and then report the first ten (if there are more than ten) to eBay.
