A summer family portrait

Post by brycycle »

i put my '77 back together last night, (big thanks to Gary for the last little pieces), so i thought i'd shoot a family portrait.

L to R: '72 Jetglo, '75 White, '77 Walnut, '79 Mapleglo, '81 Walnut.

missing: V63 Fireglo (en route, thanks again Jake), '91 CS (in Paul's hands, awaiting some TLC), '83 White w/ Grovers (also with Paul).

here are some high res images:

Maple and cedar go together so well.

Those Walnut finishes are a lot different. I like them both though!
I think I should buy another bass...

Perfect example of the distant ends of the Walnut/Autumnglo color over the years, from the greenish brown to the red-orange brown.

Beautiful, and you can see the slim necks, especially near the body.

That v63 should be getting to you any minute now ... glad to see it'll have plenty of company.
