I also have a 370 12 mapleglo, that I just take to
a gig once the mood hits. The Ricks always draw
people up to talk guitars. I spent every cent I
had at a Nashville guitar show(before tellercards)and had to drive back to N.C.low on gas& hungry.
But I had the 12 string of my dreams.I let many
play them to give them a fix.

I used to play R&B and blues and owned Fender and Gibson Spanish guitars. I never have owned a Spanish style Ric. All my Ric's are lap steels.

Just added a new member to the Rick family, a 1993 4003 JG! It's been played a bit, has a few scratches and dents on it, but as Linus once said, "...it just needs a little love!"
Cheers!

One beautiful Rick: a 650D Dakota.
This one's my 4th Rick in a 13-year span. The others being a 620 deluxe with Rick-O-Sound, a 4001S bass (both of these were a matching set - same color scheme!) and a 320 in silver with black hardware. Now, I only have the 650. But, I feel its all I really need!

I picked up a 360/12 V 64 for a song. It was on the floor at Guitar center in New Jersey, with a price tag of $920.00, wnen I asked why this new $1,500 dollar instrument was priced so low the sales guy said to look at the finish real carefully. There were two flaws in the turquoise finish, one was a 1/4 inch flaw by the section where the neck meets the body,( on the neck ) the other was also on the back of the neck at around the second fret, (it looks as if the neck was laid on something) The two small 1/6 of an inch indents look like they were filled in ( you can see it if you reflect against the light, but aside from that the instrument is sweet. It sounds brighter and fuller than my other V64/12. The only modification that I will be performing to this instrument is to have the strings and nut changed so that the high octave strings are reversed in place. I feel this is something that Rickenbacker should have done from day one.

Welcome back Jean. I hope you will keep us posted.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
