My personal favorites are the K&K Pure Western and Pure Western Mini. Incredible sounding passive system that sounds as natural as your acoustic unamplified. It uses three individual quailty contact pups that mount directly to the bridge plate and sounds great with or without a preamp.
The only thing that is kind of a P.I.T.A. is the actual mounting but a repairman/luthier worth his salt can have it installed in nothing flat. Some have been coupling the Pure Western with a Baggs PARA DI and have been estatic with the results!
