MY BLUEBURST DREAM COME TRUE!

Post by melibreits »

Finally....after wanting one for at least five years (before BBR was even a Color of the Year), my dream of having a Blueburst 350 has come true!

Here's a picture of what I had imagined in my mind of my dream guitar--I had always wished after doing this watercolor that I had put three pickups in it....

Image

Thanks to my husband's diligent searching while I was out of town, and thanks to Chris Clayton at Pick of the Ricks, who just happened to have a brand new one in stock, here it is! BTW, the picture doesn't really do justice to the color--it nearly glows in the sunlight, it is such a vibrant shade of blue. The guitar sounds and plays just as great as it looks.... I plugged it into my AC30 with the janglebox last night, and it was heavenly! Image

Funny, the UPS truck took the longest time to get here yesterday, too.... it was at least three hours later than usual!

Congratulations, Melissa!

I have been lusting after one of these Bluebursts myself. I really think it's one of the best colors that Rickenbacker has come up with. That's a great watercolor too!

A terrific one, if they're attached to a Rickenbacker.... Image

Actually, I'm not sure how many toasters there are around here now--but it's a lot more than three, LOL!

Both the watercolor and the guitar are beautiful, Melissa. Have you done any more prophetic paintings?

Melibee, if you can part with it for a while, I'm sure Jingle Jangle can add an "F" hole, like your watercolor (which in itself is outstanding). Image

Oh, I know he could! And I'm sure he could also add full-width sparkly inlays and even some checkered binding....Image

But for now I'm liking this guitar just the way it is! Image

But maybe someday I'll put an accent vibrato on it....
