Thanks, John. You're probably aware of the poor treatment a couple of the Forum's regulars received from CME regarding orders for 75th Anniversary issues. That resulted in CME going on many of our personal *hit lists. Sad/glad to see that CME is on your's, too.

Glad to see it, John. Let me know if you'd like me to take/send a photo of the other fake Rick that they have on display sporting a Rick TRC.

Oh...and it wasn't just "a couple" of the forum's regulars that received the poor treatment from CME Paul, it was ALL FOUR of us. Image

I'm hoping for more than just a slap on the wrist here. These guys have no business representing a class act like Rickenbacker.

The issue of enforcement comes up quite a bit here, and RIC is quite fortunate to have a legion of loyalists willing to bring these fakes to light - in addition to their own efforts. Without vigilant defense of their trademarks now, we would be inundated with copies.

Why does the CME still appear on the RIC website when I search for dealers in Illinois?

Jeff, I think JH has only suspended their dealership rather than revoked it.

I only wish it was as easy to go after retailers that sell real Ricks that contain fake parts as if they were the real deal, which in the end, though they may be less common, or at least obvious than the cases that are the other way 'round (i.e. the topic of this thread.) Among those who don't yet know of a manufacturer's reputation for quality, such odious guitars could easily give a person the wrong idea of what a brand stands for, over and over again as people who own it fob it off on someone else who does the same.

An oversight on our part, which has now been corrected.
