Steve, it was initiated as a ebay.uk auction even though the seller is in the US.

It's real. It belongs to Greg Feo. I have played it. It is a killer bass. Plays sounds totally different than your standard Hofner. Thicker neck with fat D profile. THUMPS!!!! Hofner frets were everywhere back in the day. Only two lefty Cavern basses known in the world. Macca's and Gregs. This bass is more rare than a 1958 325!
