Anyone here like the Doves? The lead guitarist usually plays a Gibson 300-something, but played a Rickenbacker on Letterman last week - a 360 I think. It sounded great. I'm sure they used a Ric 12-sting on Last Broadcast.

After the genius of Lost Souls, Last Broadcast was a bit of a let-down. Perhaps I just need to listen to it more. Too bad I missed them on Letterman.

You can see their appearance on Letterman at http://www.dovesmusic.com/ in the media section - they sounded great. I thought Last Broadcast was really good - some haunting melodies, but kinda uplifting too. But that's my opinion. Saw them a week ago in Montreal - just using a Gibson es-335 or something. Check out the vid - its the only time you'll see them with a Rickenbacker I believe.

Thanks for the heads up on the clip. Cool stuff. BTW, it's a 360/12.

Yep....if you listen on Caught By The River off TLB the solos where he lets rip with a 12 string Rick are something else - absolutely stunning - I think the guitar part on Words is a Telecaster though - bet it'd sound better on a Ricky :-p
