White Marine Pearl pickguard on 360-12

Post by drumbob »

I work with a guitar player who bought a 360-12 off Ebay that came with a white marine pearl pickguard. I have never seen like that on any Rick before. I say the previous owner had the pickguard custom made. Could it be factory stock?

By the way, it looks great on the guitar. Maybe Rick should consider this.

It would not be factory stock. Someone had it custom made.

Has anybody ever bought any of their signature pickguards? I'm considering one for my Rick (when it FINALLY gets here.) and possibly one for my Gretsch western model. I don't know anybody that has one though, so I don't know anything about their quality.
Thanks!

I saw one at MARF this year, and the quality looked excellent.

They are great. I used a regular old Sharpie to write my name, dropped it in the mail to him, and am very happy with the resluts.

I know I misspelled that last word. I like mine better though.

I've got one on my 370/12 MB. I had a little issue with paint checking on the lower guard, though it's only visible at certain angles, so I never did anything about it (and just didn't have the time or energy). Service is great though, and he'll do almost anything you want.

I'll agree - That's one of the nicest looking MB's I've seen!

Thanks, but shhhhh! I think MB is one of the best colors Rick has ever produced, but I'm trying to keep that on the down low ... I have a few more I want to buy someday (660,360) - I can't have the prices going up just yet!
