Pictures of your Rickenbacker bass

John, 3000's do have bolt on necks but it seems to make no difference in the sound. It is wired passively with a sound so big it kills any notion that active electronics a second pickup, or a 34" scale are needed in at least this bass. The sound is pure Rickenbacker all the way. I just roll off the treble to suit the sound needed. The playability of the very thin neck is better than any bass I've ever owned and I've owned a lot(all but one was long scale). Thanks for the kind words Joey! In the works currently is a five string conversion on a '76 3000.

73' 4001 , 99' 360, 91' 4003

The amp is a Trace Elliot 715, 150w with a single 15. Its actually REALLY LOUD, seems to beat ever amp of its size i have tried.

Its unusual as its blue. They are usually just black. It says "Trace Custom 1 of 100" on a badge on the top. So its rare and i have number 1 !

Did you do something to your treble pickup on your 73 Owen? it looks small, or is it the photo?

Proud to announce a new Rick to the family. 4003 in firglow serial # 01-07642. 9lbs.2oz, found at local shop and traded a newer musicman stingray for her. Near mint condition and plays like a dream

Nice deal you got there Scott! Fireglo may be a standard finish, but it is still a classic and still my favorite. Congrats on the new addition to the family.

Why not get a vintage pickguard and mount a toaster in the old 1/2" position, you might have to do some minor routing but how cool would that be then?
