Paul Weller 'Hit Parade' DVD

Post by randyz »

Just got the new double-disc DVD by Paul Weller. Includes videos for every single from The Jam, Style Council, and his current solo work. Tons of Ricks throughout. Jam fans will be interested to know that seven UK television performances have been used for The Jam singles that didn't have promo videos. Great stuff from 'Top Of The Pops' and 'Old Grey Whistle Test' that I've never seen before. Dig it!

I'll have to buy that Randy. I wish he'd pick up his old Rics again though. Especially that 360F he used for a while in the Style Council...

Just don't be too disappointed when you see him playing a lame Strat-clone on a few tracks. Arrrgh...

White 330 still in use...even though he "gave" it to Noel Gallagher.

On one of the Jam TV appearances on the new DVD, you can clearly see a damaged pickguard on one of Paul's 330's. It is badly broken with the knobs and pick-up selector hanging loose. Reminds me of some of the Ricks that Townshend used to play, held together with gaffer tape.

And of course, one 330 featured in a number of those videos currently belongs to a fellow forumite!

Great DVD set!
