B series pickup Question

Post by anonymous »

Hi All,

I asked this question on the guitar board, so i thought I should ask it here too.

Can anyone tell me if all B series pickups are actually high gains in toaster clothing?

I read where the later models had high gains, but I'm wondering if my 82 360 has them as well.

I've never really monkeyed around with pickups, so could someone give me an idea?

Can I take the top off to see what's going on under the hood?

Thanks for your help!

Some of the b-series pickups were hi-gains and others were completely different. They had black plastic glued on the bobbin and the windings were encased in a plastic material.
